Children as young as six and older are receiving ongoing training in African Igbo language, crafts, music and dance, public speaking and leadership skills.
This program helps support the talent and skills development of youths, and the schools and teachers providing training for tomorrow’s leaders.

Approximately 400 students receive daily, weekly and monthly teaching. Teachers use a variety of ways to make learning enjoyable for youths, including apps, educational videos and field trips.
The curriculum includes classes on: (1) Igbo language reading, writing and speaking; (2) customs and traditions; (3) arts and crafts; (4) performance arts and (5) leadership training.
Teachers and schools providing training include the following CISA members and their assistants:
Queenette Ohaya – Founder, Atlanta Igbo School and Focus Children Organization.
Kanayo Ntukogu – Founder, Progressive Igbo Leadership Association (PILA).
Ticha Akuma – Founder, Teaching Igbo Cultural Heritage in Africa and Diaspora (TICHAD).
Chioma Ogueri – Founder, SRG Events Management and Miss Igbo USA.
Lilycent Ogbuagu – Leader/teacher, Igbo cultural dance and drama.

Each year, hundreds of kids and young adults graduate from Igbo schools and programs, having acquired varying levels of skills in Igbo language, arts and culture.
Some graduates further their studies to the university and post graduate levels, leading to career and other opportunities to advance Igbo language, arts and culture.
