Chief Mathias Chinonyere Mgbeafulu (MA, Ed.S), an educator, is CISA’s DSG for Media and Publicity. He is a native of Nkume, Njaba LGA of Imo State, Nigeria, and he currently resides in Michigan, USA.
Chief Mgbeafulu is also the current National Secretary General of Imo State Congress of America (ISCA). He also served as President of Igbo Cultural Association of Michigan from 2007 to 2011, and served as a Presiding Officer of World Igbo Congress House of Delegates (WIC-HOD) in 2007.
Mgbeafulu is a graduate of Abia State University Uturu, Davenport University and Wayne State University Detroit. He is the Editor in-Chief of ORA Newsflash, a newsletter of Orlu Regional Assembly USA and author of “Migration and the Economy: Igbo Migrants in the Nigerian Economy 1900 – 1970”, a book that explores the nature of internal migration in Nigeria and highlights the place of Igbos in the making of modern Nigeria. He is married to Mary Nkechi Mgbeafulu and both are blessed with four children.
